Ella's 6th Birthday

Ella had her birthday party at Challenge Rocks, a new rock climbing gym. I was really impressed with how organized everything was, especially for the large group of kids and ages we had. There were as many 3/4 year olds as there were 6 year olds, but everyone had an awesome time!!!

First the kids did some trampoline jumping and then played some games with these foam blocks.

Then they all got suited up for the rock climbing.

 They listened to some rules....

and then they got right to it! Ella did awesome. She had been to a climbing birthday before and loved it which is why she chose this for her party.

Charlie and Caley did their best to keep up with the big kids.

Then there was the zipline..... she had not done this before and she got to go first!

Josie thought it was cool, but she wasn't ready to try it yet.

 Caley was though!

 And Charlie!!

Happy Birthday Ella!!!

She thought it was her 1st day

Josie thought it was her first day of school and insisted on wearing her backpack, so we took the necessary pics :)

And then we would out for lunch with her buddy Hannah after :)

She's a Preschooler

Josie misses the first week of school because of our upcoming trip to Disney but she has her preschool play date this morning where the kids play in the classroom and meet their teachers, so kind of like the first day :)

I'm trying to figure out how to get her to wear that headband as an eye patch....

1st day on the bus!

Ella had her first day taking the bus today! She didn't want to miss it so we all sat outside for 30 minutes waiting :) she gave some quick hugs and ran right on and all the way to the back!

1st Day of Kindergarten!

We took the obligatory outside the house picture this morning even though the first day we had to drop her off at the school.

SHe was half cooperating so I would take some funny face pictures.

Having a birthday in September means she was part of the big display in the entrance to the school.

Drop off at school didn't go great. She was the screamer, though in her defense she was the only one who also had to say goodbye to her siblings and I generally think they just had us linger in the classroom for a little too long.

Waiting for the bus: we have lovely sunflowers. I told Josie that Friday we are weeding while we wait.

"I made a friend and we sang the whole way home!" It sounded like she had a great day! Hopefully she is as excited to get on the bus on Friday!
