After another blustery blizzardy day, the girls needed some fresh air, and Nate needed (wanted) some help with the snow clean up, so out we all went.
The girls were sent back inside for trying to unshovel the walkway, though I think they may have just been trying to climb into the yard.
Nate looks like quite a mountain man!
They still dragged out all their toys....
just 1 fling of this shovel sent a bunch of snow down the front of Josie's jacket.... that was the beginning of the end. I had helped Nate at this point for exactly 6 minutes.
Then this happened. So the girls went inside to watch the little mermaid.
Just to give some perspective, the bottom of this photograph is the ground/driveway! I think it is safe to say that we are so done with winter.

We went to see Frozen on Ice today! The girls loved it! They wanted to stay for the next show, and wanted to go talk to the characters (in theory). I think we may be ready for Disney!
Both requested Elsa braids.... I did my best. On our way out Ella was yelling that she "needed her blue/green Elsa heels". We don't own them. And she also asked me to dye her hair white for the show.

Let's go out an play in the snow kids.... right. How?!
This is Josies view of the yard from the driveway.
Yes, perhaps we should have put the woodshed closer to the house...
Can our deck hold the weight of the snow? Good question. At this point we just can say, that's what home owners insurance is for, right?
Big Green is hibernating.
I do hate this rhododendron bush though, so maybe the snow will kill it.
We've got a nice little path for the milkman and ups man though... aren't we great!
If you are concerned about our ice dam issue, you should be. We have a slightly wet beam in the kitchen, and everywhere is sold out of roof rakes. I tried tossing socks full of ice salt on the roof today from the upstairs windows, but they either went up too high or slid off.... So amazon prime will be delivering us a roof rake tomorrow. Now the only way to get to the front yard is going to be to go out of a window. I'm sure that'll get a lot of commentary from the peanut gallery.
Until Thursday mailbox... or Saturday, if we are lucky.
Thats the grill.
