So we got 25+ inches of snow. Ruth was napping but the big girls did venture out to get some fresh air!
No one could really walk in it. It was very fluffy!
Josie didn't weigh quite enough to sink all the way down, but she still needed help walking too.
We tried the maple syrup on snow bit and I think the snow was just a little too fluffy, we had to dig pretty deep to get the treat out, but Josie loved it!
And even though he spent most of the day keeping up with the snowblowing and shoveling, Nate did manage to have a little fun :)

Wow- so the last photos I downloaded to my computer were of Neilan Christmas and my memory card is still in the computer so i haven't even taken any pictures since then. We have been pretty boring. We have had birthday parties every weekend for someone in Ella's class, and Ella usually chooses Nate as her +1 party date, so I don't have any pictures there.... I'm working on planning a family photo fundraiser for Ella's school, and then there's the new nail biz. My dad had surgery; we visited; he is home now and doing well. The kids have been sick on and off with cough, stomach bug, runny noses.... typical winter fun.... I guess I do need to look for some photo worthy moments though.

So I've been a little off the blog lately, I know. We haven't done much photo taking with all the sickness being passed around, but there is some new news! I have started up as a Jamberry Nails consultant! http://ecailin.jamberrynails.net/ IS the link to my site should you be interested! I have been pretty busy actually doing several facebook parties so if you love to be trendy and have awesome looking nails, I would love to help you host a party! either online or in person! No pressure. This is my one time plug. But it has been really fun so far and I hope some of your try them and love them as much as I do!

Luckily, Gabriella's parents were kind enough to extend the invitation to Josie as well. Also luckily, Ella was very excited about her +1. One of the best parts of parenting for Erin and me has been watching Ella and Josie become best friends. (Ruth is trying to fight her way into the group, and will probably have more success when she can focus more on playing and less on trying to avoid toppling over while sitting.) While I'm sure they will have their share of disputes over the years, the sisterly bond they have formed has already taken deep root.
On the ride to the party, they held hands the entire way. When we arrived, Ella immediately dragged Josie over to the birthday girl for an impromptu round of "Ring Around the Rosie," because what else would you do upon arriving at a health club? Ella immediately jumped in the pool and started playing with her friends, but kept coming over to check on Josie, who took a while to warm to the situation. While that "checking on" did involve grabbing Josie's thighs and trying to drag her into the pool, it seemed to come from a place of love--Ella really did want Josie to get in and have fun. After a while, Josie was comfortable enough to at least partially lower herself into the pool, as you can see in the picture above.
Soon it was time for cake, then Josie smearing her frosting-covered hands on the mirrored walls of the dance studio/party room. All in all, a great time.

Omi and Poppy got to open their gift first....
A new camera!!!! Seeing as they are joining ALL their grandchildren to Disney this fall, they should have enough time to figure out how to use it.
Always snickering from the peanut gallery (Ryan) during a group shot, but we got a couple keepers.
let the meyhem begin.... gift opening.
Instead of a real meal, the girls all ate these candys.....
