Happy Halloween!

No Ruth was in no way even stressed or uncomfortable seeming with this. Please note that Nate is heading over to address the situation.

1st stop, next door.

Josie was so excited and ran up to all the houses holding her bucket in front of her. They both remembered to say "trick-or treat" this year and usually said thank you and Happy Halloween without being reminded. Josie only tried to run into one house

The night ended abruptly when Ella had an issue with a cobblestone path.

Happy Halloween

The kids were very easily on me this year and all decided to be cats. Well Ella wanted to be a cat, so then Josie also wanted to be a cat, so then why wouldn't Ruth also just be a cat. At first they were all going to be black cats, but Ella wanted to be the only black cat, so Josie chose white and then we decided that Ruth would be orange. Josie got to dress up for dance class on Wednesday morning.

Ella on Wednesday afternoon.

Josie loves watching Ella's dance class.

They even invited her in for a picture.

Thursday we got to practice trick-or-treating at daddy's office.

It's hard to believe but some candy actually made it home.... lots of it.

Feeding Ruthie

Josie, the mother hen, loves doing anything and everything for baby Ruth. She is actually pretty good at feeding her.

We are home and She is doing great!

Josie was a trooper this morning. Her eye surgery was scheduled for 8:30 and they were pretty much right on time. She was very cooperative despite not getting to eat breakfast and the obviousness that this was not just a typical day as we were getting ready to leave this morning. She wasn't a fan of the ID bracelet but had no problem getting her blood pressure or pulse ox taken, go figure. She pretty much played the iPad while we waited. Nate was able to walk her into the OR and administer the laughing gas which I don't think was an easy task either emotionally or physically. The surgery was a little longer than we thought so I was getting pretty anxious in the waiting room but everything went fine. We got back to the recovery room before she was really awake and she quickly got her puppy and fell back to sleep while the nurse removed her IV's and wires etc. She maybe had a sip of juice, but was still really sleepy and they sent us home.

Beba, Auntie Kate, Shane, and Kylie were at our house with Ella and Ruth. Kate made us taco dip and dinner for tonight which was awesome. Josie was sleepy but excited to see everyone when we got home and everyone watched Frozen together and then she went down for a nap. She doesn't seem like she is in any pain so we are thankful for that.

Thanks everyone for your help!

Eye Surgery

Josie is having another eye surgery today. This time to correct her eye alignment. We are praying that everything goes smoothly for her again. We would all appreciate it for you to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

We're havin' a (baptism) party

We've got fancy dishes and this is the first time we have used them. They were my grandmother's dishes and it seemed fitting for us to use them this day for the first time since Marie (Ruth's middle name) was also my grandmother's middle name.

Thanks Omi for taking lots of pictures for us! You got some great ones.

The best family shot of the bunch. We don't get many tries.....

Josie kisses with her forehead, even Ruth.

Unfortunatly I think this is the one picture we have of Shane.

All the babies baptized (8 of them) got a handmade blanket from the church. I may have found my next crafting outlet.

If anyone needs ideas, Uncle Ryan needs a new suit jacket for Christmas...

Just kidding, he must have been flexing his big muscles.

So this was our attempt at a picture of us with the godparents. I think after 2 hours of church time, just about everyone was done.

These 2 were very silly, cute and played great all day!

The house was spotless and then the kids were let loose. An elaborate craft project immediately began which took most of the day. When encouraged to eat lunch the girls said "no thank you, I'll just have the fruit salad." Then at around 3pm they came to ask me if it was "almost time for lunch?" ummmmm

Harvey likes to be a part of things, but given the amount of people at the house, I think he felt a little safer behind the baby gate.

Thanks so much everyone for coming and making it such a special day!
