As you have either already read, or will soon read about Nate's latest project of building a coffee table, I would like to show you that it has been reclaimed already and is being used instead as a stage. The girls promptly take the magazines off (we haven't been brave enough to have anything else on it) and then climb up and dance.
The man builds a sturdy table if anyone is interested.

The snow painting was not a big hit in single digit temperatures, but the next day was a balmy 20 degrees outside and Ella was eager to go play and try the snow paint. The bottles I had on hand were a little hard for her to squeeze, especially in the cold, but i think I'd try it again.

I picked Ella up early from school Wednesday because she wasn't feeling well. (Actually I dropped her off, drove to my office and then essentially turned around to get her.) Her ear hurt and she was sobbing in the office and the whole way home. Of course she felt fine after Motrin and was chipper as could be at the doctors office who said, just a cold. She has fluid in her ear but its not infected so keep up the Motrin and Benedryl to dry her out. She was pretty fine all afternoon but fell asleep watching tv with me and then woke up with a fever. SHe is seemingly a little better today (Thursday), and of course now Josie has a fever. Is it almost spring?!

Josie did not appreciate being used as a ruler to measure how much snow we got. My kids are very wimpy when it comes to being cold and wet.... We were outside probably for all of 5 minutes.
Little did she know that the sled ride was one way only to pick up wood at the shed.
The barn was so pretty and I wish I could have gotten a picture without the cars in front, but by this point I was holding Josie, taking pictures with one hand, and Ella was crying about how freezing she was.
I made snow paint (food coloring and water in squirty bottles) but I was the only one who thought it was any fun. Everyone else was too cold.
Easy to please with hot chocolate.
Nope, she cannot actually drink out of this cup. She spilled it all over herself.
We are more of a relax by the fire snowy day kind of girls.
Cashed in all those birthday/ christmas Home Depot gift cards just in time!
