1st day of school

Ella started preschool (and I went back to work) a couple weeks ago. She was so excited and has been having a great time. I usually pick her up just as they are starting their afternoon snack and every day she tells me she wants to stay and eat her snack with her friends. She is never ready to come home! I'm so glad that she is so happy there.

Josie is going to the home daycare Ella went to and is busy watching all her new friends run around.

Happy Birthday Ella

We celebrated Ella's 3rd birthday immediately following Josie's baptism to cut down on peoples travel obligations. Our lives have been pretty crazy with the condo on the market, going on vacation, getting ready for preschool and back to work etc... I'm not complaining though, our life is always crazy. I just didn't have the time to make a very impressive cake this year.

Ella loved it though, and she and Taylor got to help make it. All she wanted was a purple cake, and boy oh boy was it purple!

Julie was a trooper and came at 38 weeks pregnant. She even volunteered to bring beverages and ice for everyone. Thanks Julie! Today is actually Julie's due date.

Ella and Shane.

Our neighbors who will be the thing we will miss the most when we eventually move.

Ella posing with the sign.... we will be coming back for the Halloween Party described on the sign if anyone is interested in joining us.

Omi was one of the few grown-ups to avoid getting motion sickness before the end of the party.

We opened presents at home following the party. The theme of 3 year old gifts apparently is "dress-up". Josie was happy to try out one of Ellas costumes.

Thanks to everyone who made her party so special!

Josie's Baptism

We had lots of people come to celebrate Josie's baptism with us. Thanks Ryan for taking pictures for us. Unfortunately he forgot to get any pictures of the Harris side of the family... oops

Josie wore my gown which Ella also wore. There was a hat too, but her head was too big!

We had a lot of company up on the alter.

But then they were off to wander around with Omi. Nate thought our family as a whole was the quietest of the 3 girls being baptized, but I'm not so sure.

Josie, sound asleep, with her Godparents.

Taylor loves giving her kisses.

The Neilans

Tif and I had both purchased a bad living social photography deal, and Tif had been planning on using hers for family and maternity shots. I gave it a try for her last time they were visiting and these are some of my favorites. Taylor was not interested in participating, but luckily I had a lollipop that happened to match her outfit in our bag!

NH Vacation: Thursday

Another wild goose chase. This time for ice cream. The place in downtown that we had scoped out on Monday was closed for the season, so we drive around for a while and found this place. The ice cream was as great as the color variety of the picnic tables.

I'm not sure if these last few were from Thursday night or Friday morning as we were packing up. Either way, the cousins had a great time together/I'm going to say, the best vacation yet! Though we had a blast, Ella especially was looking forward to getting to see daddy.

NH Vacation: Wednesday

Wednesday we watched the guy fix the driveway of the rental house. And then we went to the playground/beach.

NH Vacation: Tuesday

It takes a lot of effort for 2 moms to get 3 kids under age 3 out of the house for an outing. It was cause for Kate and I to sing a little of Dora's "we did it, yay!" whenever we would be locking the door on our way out.

Tuesday we went to a buffalo farm.

They had chickens.

bunnies

pigs (This was when Ella learned that when mommy says don't touch the electric fence, it means that you shouldn't touch the electric fence).

Later we saw the owner who told us where to find the buffalo. He gave us some rolls to feed them. He said they would come on over to see us if we would shake the bags. (He also turned off the power to the fence).

This was when Ella decided that plain rolls make a good meal.
